(March 2007) - Parents have a new tool to help them find quality child care in Kentucky. Find Kentucky Kid Care is a toll-free number that links parents and caregivers of children to their area Child Care Resource and Referral (CCR&R) agencies. The Division of Child Care in the Kentucky Cabinet for Health and Family Services (CHFS) administers the toll-free line. Based on their area code of origin, calls will be automatically routed to a local CCR&R. Only out-of-state calls are not directly transferred. Local office hours are generally 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

(November 2006) - The Kentucky Partnership for Early Childhood Services once again sponsored a series of Regional Core Content Gap Analysis Forums in six locations across the state in collaboration with the Division of Child Care, Cabinet for Health and Family Services and the Division of Early Childhood Development, Kentucky Department of Education. The purpose of the forums was to build on the work completed last year in identifying gaps in the current availability of training across the Early Childhood Core Content levels and subject areas. Results from the Regional Core Content Gap Analyses will be coming soon.
