OUR SERVICES

The Kentucky Partnership for Early Childhood Services offers technical assistance to early care and education providers on the following topics.

Kentucky All STARS

Kentucky All STARS is Kentucky’s expanded five-star quality rating and improvement system serving all early care and education programs – including child care centers, Head Start and public preschool – that receive public funding. The unified system is based on Kentucky’s Early Childhood Standards and research-based indicators of quality. Kentucky All STARS recognizes programs that have made a commitment to continuous quality improvement and provides programs with additional support including training, technical assistance and coaching. Although a provider is not required to work with the Child Care Aware technical assistance team, those who do often have greater success in the application for higher quality. Training

Training Coaches are available to coordinate the provision of scheduled training sessions based upon local needs assessment.

Professional Learning Profile

All coaches are trained to provide child care directors in accessing information in ECE-TRIS, the Cabinet designated professional development registry.

Professional Development Plans

Professional Development Coaches are available to assist directors understand the requirement to have a Professional Development plan on file for all staff.


Recruiting Trainers

Training Coaches recruit new early care and education trainers and provide TA throughout the initial and renewal credential application processes.

Targeted TA

Health and Safety Coaches are available to provide intense targeted technical assistance to centers that are placed under Intermediate Sanction.

Child Care Regulations

Provide coaching and technical assistance to providers to assure compliance with all child care regulations.

The Partnership for Early Childhood Services employs regionally-based coaches to provide technical assistance across four major areas.

Quality

Technical assistance related to maintaining and achieving a rating in STARS, Quality Rating and Improvement System.

Health & Safety

Technical assistance related to child care licensing standards and establishing and maintaining licensing and certification for providers.

Professional Development

Technical assistance related to professional development to existing and potential early care and education scholars.

Training

Technical assistance to current and recruitment of potential early care and education trainers to ensure that training needs are met in the region.
